Nick had his friend Kristofer stay over last night and they had a lot of fun. They were both very well behaved and there were no arguments or quarrels of any kind. It was a really easy night for me.
It's hard for me to believe how quickly Nick is growing. He will be six in three days! He is such a cool person...he reminds me of his dad in almost every way.
It's funny because I felt like I knew everything about him, but last night I could hear him talking to his friend in the back seat of the van and telling him that he had just "broken up" with a girl at school! I was shocked that it was the first time I was hearing about it. It's sad when you realize that you're kids don't necessarily feel the need to tell you everything.
Today I am babysitting for the baby boy of a friend of my sister's. The kids have all enjoyed having him here, especially Nick. He wants a baby brother so badly. I let him feed him one of his bottles and he loved it.
Well I must go...as I speak, Nick is calling me from the shower. :-)

Our Son

This blog is for our son Nicholas. He is an energetic little guy who is lots of fun to be with.

Nick is one week away from turning 6! He is growing up so fast. He is our only son and for the last several years has been begging us to give him a little brother. He is the clown of the family, always ready with a silly antic or playful game. He is also very sensitive, probably more so than either daughter. His feelings get hurt very easily and he is quick to become emotional over things that upset him in any way. He is very special to us. Nick is so smart and at the top of his kindergarten class. He enjoys school and learning, but is more of an active person who likes to help Dad with outdoor projects and jobs.

This is a picture of Nick about a month ago.
